I solved the problem that I described in my previous comment. The problem on production environment was in connection string that required info about the database port when I run application under asp.net.1.1... it works now

work like a charm. I think people who are following this article should keep both machine.config identical because if microsoft releases the patch for this problem, your IIS would start reading the machine.config from the 32 bit framework folder.
