The Community Contributed Downloads process just got faster and easier

We’re pleased to introduce self-service Community Contributed Downloads submissions here on IIS.net.  What this means for you, the developer or company, is that the IIS add-ons and downloads that you host will be seen by more people, more quickly after you submit your information.  Just head to the Submit a Community Contributed Download page, and answer a few basic questions about the download you will be hosting on your site and listing here on IIS.net.   You should be familiar with the customer/user-facing benefits of your download, which IIS version(s) your download is compatible with, the type of license your download is offered under, and a few other aspects of your download.Speaking of Community Contributed Downloads, here’s a shout-out to 2 of our first self-service Community Downloads, IISpeed and Servant for IIS.

Now, what have you got to share with the greater IIS community?

  • And I can say it just works great! :-)

What about allowing images to the downloads? People love images! :-)

  • Do you mean images as in "pictures"?  If they are explanatory or helpful for IIS admins and users, then you might want to blog them, but not sure if they should be downloads.
