Basically:

First row of servers to be monitored is all filled out with my sqlexpress instance, and all. It takes fine.

I add a second row of another server, and i get the error. It doesnt matter if I enter a DBInstanceName (Which i assume would only be the same as the first) or not.

It just needs to connect to the first server where it has the webserverfarmmanager db created to read the settings specific to your case. Once its connected you dont need to change the server name. Just provide all the servers you add monitored and start the service. The connection string is ONLY FOR FIRST TIME run when you are trying to connect to the settings database.

I am in the process of adding that support. You just have to make changes to syncmanager.cs in the webserverwatcherfarmsvc and it should work. If you wish you can get the source and do that.
