New builds of Windows Media Services 2008 that are compatible with Windows Server 2008 Service Pack (SP) 2 are now available.  These packages will install on Windows Server 2008 SP1, SP2, and future Windows Server 2008 service packs.  Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9ccf6312-723b-4577-be58-7caab2e1c5b7 to obtain the new builds.

The newest and easiest way to get started with either WMS 2008 or WMS 2008 R2 is by running Microsoft Web Platform Installer 2.0 on your Windows Server.  This user-friendly tool will download and then silently install WMS using the default settings.

Is there any updates to WMS from the RTM release? Any fixes? Any releasnotes?

I can't upgrade to this release, the installer says "This update does not apply to your system". Do I have to uninstall the RTM version first?
