IIS running on Windows Web Server 2008 certainly isn't "fixed".

It blue screens the server if one attempts to serve content on a subordinate directory of a mounted volume.

It took me days to isolate the problem, but there's no question that was it.

try mounting a second partition at c:\mnt\datavol1

Then create an iis site on the mounted volume a few directories down from the mount point.

(e.g. c:\mnt\datavol1\CleintWebsites\Client1\www.client1.com\www\default.htm

Access the site remotely with the appropriate URL. (e.g. http://www.client1.com)

IIS will serve defaut.htm once, and then blue screen the server.

Attempting to overwrite default.htm using ftp also results in a blue screen.

However, accessing and manipulating default.htm locally is no problem.

Serving the same content from the same directory structure without using a mount point and all works as expected.

Gene
